Sticky Stone sterling Silver Necklace

I don't know at all what this stone is, but it looks like a bunch of sticks, maybe in water. It's a very solid stone, and took a nice polish, so has a jasper look to it. The colors range from a pale ocher to a very pale sage. It's really unusual, but really lovely! The stone is set from the top, so could be double sided, although because of the top setting, it's best viewed from the front.

I've etched around the bezel, complementing the stick-like shapes in the stone. The pendant itself is 1-3/4" long by 1" at the widest. The sterling has been oxidized and then sanded to a satin finish.

The sterling chain is a mix of chain and bars, to continue with the linear feel of the stone. The chain is adjustable from 20 to 22" and is removable.
