Peanut Obsidian and Handmade Sterling Silver Chain

These colors are so wonderful together, although it’s not exactly obsidian, it is perlite with spherulites in it. The spherulites are radiating crystals of feldspar, tinted by hematite. I've cut and soldered every jump ring, using round to oval shapes to complement the orbs in the cabochon.
The sterling has been oxidized and then put in my tumbler to bring up a lovely, luster finish. The necklace is 19" long and is finished with a hand fabricated S hook. The pendant part itself is 1-3/8" at the widest by 1-3/8" long.
