A rose cut stone is a flat backed (cabochon) stone with a faceted front. These Kyanite stones have a fair amount of inclusions, which is typical of the stone. The blue is on the teal side. The rose cut gives the stone extra sparkle. They're very pretty earrings.
The total length of the earrings is close to 2". The stones are slightly different in shapes. Because of the delicate nature of Kyanite, they should be cleaned with soap and water and a soft brush, and treated with some care. They should not be tossed into a jewelry box.
